The studies on previous planting of glutinous corn, mungbean and groundnut before sugarcane in dry season compared with rainy season planting of sugarcane showed that the solitary corn and intercropped corn gave 1095 and 1917 ears/rai, respectively. It was also found, after mungbean was harvested at 60 days, that the following glutinous corn, which gave 1026 ears/rai, would be useful before planting cane during the dry season. Although the groundnuts which were damaged by pest gave average yields of 126 kg. and 3,400 kg. of stalk per rai, it was found to be suitable for manuring and maintaining the fertility of soil. The experiment also showed that the average yield of sugarcane, F 140, Supan 1 and H 48 3166, in the rainy season as compared with dry season planting followed groundnut with 5.4 and 8.6 tons/rai, respectively
