A techno-economic analysis of calcium hydroxide (Lime) consumption in Guyana Sugar Corporation Limited (GUYSUCO)

A techno-economic analysis of lime consumption is under-taken, where data collected from past records at Enmore estate are fitted by regression analysis in order to establish a relationship between lime consumption and mixed juice purity. The equation which was derived was tested throughout GUYSUCO factories for its accuracy. The reliability of the equation in operating cost estimation is also evaluated.
