The fruit tree crop diversification programme in Dominica

Discussion on the diversification programme under which 650 acres were planted with oranges, grapefruit, avocado, mango and cocoa over a three year period 1978-81. Hurricane David destroyed 30 % of the old established tree crops and damaged a further 50 % of the new and old plantings. Since then fruits have been in short supply.
