This report presents information about the trout fishery and the native fish of the Mataura River, New Zealand. Information on abundance and movements of trout and the quality of the fishery in the national context are presented. Longitudinal patterns of angler use along the river, changes in the trout fishery, relationships between flow and trout habitat, and the native fish fauna and fisheries are also discussed
