According to the accepted standards, the book provides a description of 11 Yugoslav dog breeds. Besides standard of the breed, the book provides photographs and illustrations. The former Yugoslavia and its cynology are known in the world for their 2 dog breeds: Dalmatian and Shar planina dog (Yugoslav sheepdog). Besides, there exist hunting and other sheepdog breeds. All the 11 dog breeds mentioned are recognized by the International Kennel Federation
