Small scale commercial production of Tilapia fingerlings in floating bamboo net-hapas

The floating bamboo net-hapa hatchery/nursery system was observed to be very efficent in the mass production of tilapia fry and fingerlings at Kainji Lake Research Institute. This paper deals with the economic analysis of the system which justified that the culture system could be a profiTable venture when well managed. The managerial skill of the fish farmer will determine the success of the venture
