Preharvesting chemical treatments on vase-life of Chrysanthemum (Dendranthema grandiflora)

Cut Chrysanthemum "Khao Kaset" were sprayed daily by 25 ppm mepiquat chloride and paclobutrazol; 2500 ppm daminozide at 4, 5 and 6 times before harvesting, then vasing in plain water. All treatments kept under room condition (24.0 deg.celsius and 72 %RH). Paclobutrazol 25 ppm sprayed 4 times gave the longest vase-life average 15.58 days although this treatment has no significant difference when compared with the others.
