Since nitrogen, as compared to phosphorus and potassium, can be decreased in soil by gaseous ways, migration and evaporation, attention should be paid to fertilization with N-fertilizers. It is well-known that utilization and the effect of fertilization in dry seasons, due to the lack of water in soil, are lower, however, it is very important to maintain the optimum mineral nutrition especially at the first stages of root growth and development (mass and active surface). Regarding lower mass of yield in the dry season, nitrogen fertilization for the next crop should be carried out only after the analysis of the reserves of residual nitrogen in the soil profile on every plot and under every fore-crop. There are two reasons for the consistent application of the system of soil fertility control on every plot that would serve for rational use of N-fertilizer after extremely dry season.
