Organizing farmers for sustainable potato seed production

Potato seed is an expensive input in potato production. Farmers are thus interested to start seed production programmes on their own fields. Even though the project started the programme with a small quantity of improved seed, it still was able to train and motivate quite a large number of farmers. They have realized the benefits and the programme is now expanding by itself.
