Effectiveness of insecticides with the Norway spruce bark beetles can be established by the probit analysis. This method enables defining of random lethal doses and direct comparison between the applied chemicals. Effect of three insecticides of the synthetic pyrethroid group on bark beetles of the Ips typographus L. species under the bark was established. The effect of the chemicals on different developmental stages of bark beetles was high although there were differences among the chemicals
