Test for time series homogeneity of hail-even data in Serbia [Yugoslavia]

A statistical analysis of the annual number of hail-events for each of the 39 stations in Serbia (Yugoslavia), was performed for the period 1951-1980. It was proven that no inhomogeneities in time series of hail-event data at these stations were present either in the period of intensive hail suppression activities, or in the period without these activities. Two questions remain open: 1) Whether some changes occurred in the pluviometric regime, since for the intended hail suppression and for the precipitation augmentation the procedure was one and the same. 2) It should be examined whether, due to the actual global climatic change expressed by the temperature increase changes occur in pluviometric and hail-event regimes, too.
