The significance of mathematical modelling for regional planning of agricultural production is pointed out as well as the need for defining of mathematical model for optimal planning of agricultural production in Yugoslavia. For that purpose a general theoretic logical and mathematical model is defined. Aiming at its evaluation and verification the model was tested for the case of Vojvodina region (Yugoslavia). The test results prove that in Vojvodina's agriculture the production results are not even close to realy possible ones, i.e. the thesis is proved that by mean of applying the mathematical modelling in defining of optimal production structure for particular region significant economic effects can be achieved. With necessary adjustments for a particular region, the model can be used for planning of agricultural development of any region in Yugoslavia and even in other countries.
