The effect of medium and agar content (cultivation method) on growth of pure cultures of ectomycorrhizal fungi Amanita muscaria (isolate 109 TUZ) and Suillus granulatus (isolate 140 TUZ) was investigated in a flask scale experiment under laboratory conditions. MMN, KHO and MPM (malpepton medium) media with three different contents of agar (1.5, 0.3 % and no agar) were tested. The intensity of growth of both fungi was significantly influenced by the composition of the nutrient medium as well as by the method of cultivation.
