Productive traits of Metohian sheep with white wool, but with black head (Dukadnjinian sheep, Baljusa), have been investigated in the area of Istok community - North Metohia (Serbia, Yugoslavia). At the same time, in order of comparison, we studied the traits of Metohian rough-fleece Pramenka (Bardoka, Barloka). The results pointed out to Baljusa as a larger sheep than Bardoka, with better fertility, which gave lambs of greater mass with faster growth and development during the period of 90 days (the period of their growth and development observation). Baljusa had a lower milking ability than Bardoka, which could be a probable reason for its low number in this production area. Baljusa had also a longer mating season and was late maturing in comparison with Bardoka.
