Necessity of Sremska sausage standardizations as the national product [Yugoslavia]

Sremska sausage is a specific, high quality national (Yugoslav) product. Quality has contributed to the affirmation of this product as well as the standard production. However, the fast industrialization of production of this sausage influenced the increase of producers, causing a large quality range of this product at the market. The fact that Sremska sausage is a specific national product of high quality and that some initial basic properties could dissapear, leads to the necessity to define and standardize the bases of production, production process and quality of this product with the aim of protecting it as a high-quality national specialty.
