Microbiological analysis of bulk raw goat milk

Bulk raw goat milk collected from 5 locations in Bulgarian was analyzed in accordance with the requirements of Bulgarian standards for sample collection and proccecing.It was established that the average value of the total number of microorganisms for the separate areas vary withhin 6.104/cm3 and 4.8.105/cm3.Comparing the microorganism groups analyzed, raw goat milk contamination is highest with enterococci (from 1671/cm3 to 4.3.104/cm3) and lowest with proteolytes (43/cm3 to 1.8.103/cm3).
