Some heavy metals and fluorine are one of the most important detection elements for assessing environmental conditions, e.g. in conurbation. Current knowledge points out a necessity for complex approach to the solution of the contamination by heavy metals and undesirable elements. Movement of elements in environment is defined as a set of processes that lead to their transport, mobilisation and immobilisation with both biogenic and abiogenic components. Potential risk areas can be found in the vicinity of tectonic faults and industrial establishments (verified and supposed). Undesirable elements to come an increase in the incidence of malignant tumours of the digesting system and cancer of the lung. Since 1990, the localities under investigation have shown a higher sickness rate (tumour diseases) as compared to the all-Slovak average
