Stepien, A. | Adamiak, J. (University of Warmia and Mazury, Olsztyn (Poland). Dept. of Agriculture System)
Five-year-long investigations were conducted on pseudogley grey-brown soil, class IIIa, complex 4 in the Polish Soil Taxonomy. The purpose was to determine the effect of different fertilization systems on the content of molasses forming components and expenditure of technological sugar in sugar beetroots. The following objects were compared: A - nourished with mineral fertilizers, B - fertilized with manure and mineral fertilizers, C - fertilized with straw, green and mineral fertilizers, and D - fertilized with compost and biopreparations (ecological fertilization). Objects A, B and C with constant phosphorus and potassium nourishment received different rates of N. Object D was treated with varied rates of biopreparations
