The influences of carbofuran insecticide controlled release formulation on potatoes field

The formulation was made by mixture of Na alginat, ethanol, kaolin as filler matrix and applied on potatoes field of Granola variety with 1, 1.5 and 2 x field doses (1 x doses equal to 20 kg/ha) and were compared to commercial carbofuran (Furadan 3G) and control. The observation was done at 20 to 80 days after application of formulation of carbofuran. The result showed that new young plants had no differences among controlled release formulation, commercial insecticide and control. The lowest attack by Myzus persicae was 0.98 percent and Spodoptera litura was 0 percent at 2 x field doses (40 kg/ha), if compared to commercial insecticide (Furadan 3G) and control. The lowest attack by Lamprosema indicata were 0 percent and Phytophthora infestans was 0.98 percent at 1.5 field doses (30 kg/ha), if compared to Furadan 3G and control
