The variability of distribution and density of pelagic fishes in the Roznowski Dam Reservoir (Poland)

The distribution, density, species and size structure of the fish in the waters of the Roznowski Dam Reservoirs (Poland) were studied and their numbers and biomass were estimated. Hydroacoustic methods (echosounder) were applied and supplemented and veryfied with the results of control fishing. The total fish biomass was 1234.3 kg/ha, and number 13.5 milion fish specimens. Comparison of pelagic catches in acoustic-fishing monitoring of fish resources in Polish lakes and dam reservoirs is demonstrated
