DNA of Dragon fish or Asian arowana was extracted by Phenol-chloroform method using DNA from mucus of Dragon fish collected by using cotton swab. The concentration and purity of the DNA was determined by a spectrophotometer, at optical densities of 260 nm and 280 nm and agarose gel electrophoresis. Studying of DNA quality for example DNA molecule compared with standard DNA , RNA contamination , DNA degradation , other contamination and DNA quantity using agarose gel electrophoresis. From the result, DNA quality was good criterion and a little RNA contamination. Statistic test result performed on the concentration of mucus DNA and gill DNA did not differ significantly between the groups at 95 percent confident a level.
