PRINCIPALES CARACTERÍSTICAS FÍSICO-MECÁNICAS DE LA MADERA DE CINCO ESPECIES FORESTALES DE LA CORDILLERA DE GUANIGUANICO

Испанский язык; кастильский. En el estudio se relacionan las características físico-mecánicas de cinco especies de la Cordillera de Guaniguanico: Quercus cubana A. Rich(encino), Pithecellobium obovale (A. Rich.) Wr.(encinillo), Zantthoxylum elephantiasis Macfd. (bayúa), Poepiggia procera Presl. (tengue), Pithecellobium arboreum (L.) Urb. (sabicúmoruro). Los resultados de la investigación arro-jan que la densidad normal es superior en todos los casos a 0,600 g/cm3, siendo los valores más altos para el encino, con 0,871 g/cm3. Las relaciones de contracción son favorables(1,6), excepto para el tengue, que es ligeramen-te superior con 1,8. Este resultado supone cambios dimensionales bastante uniformes durante el secado. En cuanto a las propiedades mecánicas se indican mayores valores para el encino y el sabicú moruro, siendo en la flexión estática más de 1000 kgf/cm2, y la dureza tangencial como radial por encima de 1000 kg. La compresión,tanto paralela como perpendicular, tuvieron valores máximos de 870 kgf/cm2 para la bayúa y 363 kgf/cm2 para el encino.

Английский. In the study they are related the physical-mechanical characteristics of five species of the mountain range of Guaniguanico: Cuban Quercus A. Rich. (encino), Pithecellobiumobovale (A. Rich.) Wr. (encinillo), Zantthoxylum elephantiasis Macfd. (bayúa), Poepiggia eminent person Presl. (tengue), Pithecellobium arboreum (L.) Urb. (sabicú moruro). The results of the research throw that the normal density is superior in all the cases 0,600 g/cm3, being the highest securities for the encino, with 0,871g/cm3. The contraction relationships are favo-rable (1,6) except for the tengue that is lightly superior with 1,8. This result supposes quite uniform dimensional changes during the drying. In mechanical property, they are indicated bigger securities for the encino and the sabicú moruro, being in the static flexion more than 1000 kgf/cm2 and the tangential hardness as radial above 1000 kg. The compression so much parallel, as perpendicular they had maximum securities of 870 kgf/cm2 for the bayua and 363 kgf/cm2 for the encino.
