Models for genetic evaluation usually assumed that genes involved in the phenotypic expression of quantitative traits in males and females are the same. However, there are substantial evidences of heterogeneity at mean or variance level. The objective of this study is to estimate the genetic correlation between sexes in seven traits of the Pirenaica Beef Cattle breed. Traits included in the analysis were PN (Birth Weight), P120 (Weight at 120 days), P210 (Weight at 210 days), PC (Cold Carcass Weight), CONF (Conformation Score), CG (Fat Cover Score) and COL (Color score). The posterior mean (and standard deviation) estimates for the genetic correlations were 0.92 (0.02), 0.92 (0.03), 0.87 (0.05), 0.79 (0.07), 0.55 (0.10), 0.79 (0.07) and 0.35 (0.17) for PN, P120, P210, PC, CONF, CG and COL, respectively.
