Loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) to detect the causal agent of Ceratocystis canker, Ceratocystis fimbriata was developed. Specific primers were designed by targeting the ITS region. The detection sensitivity of LAMP was 0.1 pg of C. fimbriata DNA. With LAMP methods, C. fimbriata could be detected from fig tree and soil samples that were prepared from fig fields in Aichi prefecture.
