Red raspberry orchards are becoming more important as an agroindustrial activity in the south of Chile. Due to edaphoclimatic conditions, yield levels are directly related to water supply. The use of localized irrigation has proved that fruit yields can be increased 70-100%, fruit diameter enlarged 4-12% and fruit weight raised 4-35%. Additional economic net income due to irrigation of red raspberry justify this practice.
