The various kinds of animal manures, water hyacinth and grass were used as feeding materials to produce biogas. The digestions of various slurry rations, seeding and non-seeding of organisms, batch and continuous loading types, had been done to identify: optimum slurry ratio, biogas composition, organic fertilizer values and the average volume of biogas production. The biogas can be produced from digestion of various kinds of organic materials including animal manures, water hyacinth, grass clippings. The volume of biogas produced from organic materials, after 21 days of digestion, was not statistically significant. The optimum slurry ratios for biogas production were 50% and 60% by volume. The biogas produced from organic materials contained Methane gas 25-69% by volume, which can be used as gaseous fuel for cooking, lighting, refrigeration and engine running. The digested liquid waste and sludge contained some amount of N-P-K and vitamin B12 which can be used as organic fertilizer for plants. The biogas can be produced from digestion of animal manures without seeding of organisms with 1-3 days. The method of seeding of organisms is a good procedure for shortening the time of biogas production. The ambient temperature of the air in the central part of Thailand was optimum temperature for biogas production. The digesters constructed on the ground or burried at some depth under the ground showed the same results.
