Due to the lack of streamflow data in the tributaries of the Solo River, precipitation and unit hydrograph can be used to predict flood events for design purposes. The objective of this study is to modify the triangular synthetic unit hydrographs method to suit the conditions of Solo Basin. In this study, eleven small watersheds in the Solo River Basin with catchment areas greater than 47 square km and less than 205 square km, were used. The unit hydrographs for each Sub-Basin were derived from observed precipitation and streamflow data and then the SCS method was applied to the studied area by establishing relationships between basin characteristics and components and indicating that SCS method should be adjusted to fit the conditions of the Solo Basin. It appears that the modification of triangular unit hydrographs was reasonable to be applied for small watersheds in the Solo River Basin.
