Английский. Diquat is a drying agent used in corn crops to simplify the mechanical harvesting. Although Italian law does not allow the use of this product for human nutrition, it is sometimes improperly used. For this reason, a study to determine residual presence of Diquat on milled products from one of the most common soft wheat cultivar (Centauro) has been carried out. Some results are reported in this paper

Benche' la legislazione italiana ne limiti l'uso ad alcuni casi, esso viene talvolta impropriamente utilizzato anche per il frumento destinato all'alimentazione umana. In questa nota sono riportati i risultati di un lavoro svolto al fine di rilevare l'eventuale presenza di detta sostanza, nelle frazioni di macinata di alcuni campioni di una varieta' di frumento tenero (Centauro) ampiamente diffusa in Italia e dei suoi prodotti di macinazione
