Population maintenance of Lucilia cuprina (Wiedemann) in the arid zone [sheep blowfly; Australia]

In a survey of struck sheep and carcasses over 3 years, it was found that L. cuprina was the dominant species in 87 percent of live-sheep strikes, but was never recovered from struck carcasses, where the secondary blowfly Chrysomys rufifacies predominated.
