Trichostrongylus axei infection as a cause of deaths and loss of weight in sheep. [Short contribution]

Four outbreaks of T. axei infection in sheep are described in which the parasite was the principal cause of diarrhoea, weight loss and death following a period of grazing with cattle. Careful planning is therefore needed before recommending the mixed or alternate grazing of sheep and cattle.
