Crusts on the epidermis of some louse-infested Merino sheep [Damalinia ovis]

The skin lesions are described in 2 one-year-old Merino wethers together with evidence for their association with D. ovis infestation. Extensive surveys are needed to determine whether crust formation is typical of most infested sheep.
