Английский. Tests have been performed to transmit a grapevine yellows agent to Catharanthus roseus. One end of a small tendril of a diseased grapevine is inserted into a plastic tube. The other end is inserted, as if for side grafting, in the stalk of the Catharanthus. The tube is then filled with water and kept in a vertical position. The resulting hydrostatic pressure forces the lymph out of the grapevine tendril into the recipient C. roseus. Based on the symptom observations, most of the plants have thus been infected. This method proves very advantageous as it seems efficient, applicable among plants of very different genera, and the infections can be performed with infecting material coming from far away. La terminazione di un tralcetto di una pianta infetta di vite viene inserita in un tubo di plastica. L'altra estremita' viene inserita, come nel caso di un innesto laterale, nel fusto di Catharanthus. Il tubo viene successivamente riempito con acqua e mantenuto in posizione verticale. La pressione idrostatica risultante forza la linfa al di fuori del tralcetto di vite entro il ricevente C. roseus. In base all'osservazione dei sintomi, la maggior parte delle piante sono state infettate in questo modo. Questo metodo risulta molto vantaggioso, dato che sembra efficiente, applicabile fra piante di generi diversi e le infezioni possono essere realizzate con materiale infettante proveniente da molto lontano.
