Social marketing of nutrition education to cardiac patients in acute care

This study used the survey method of marketing research in order to assess the educational priorities of a cardiac patient population. The purpose of the survey was to determine the group's interest in learning about the Dietary Guidelines, the group's perception of the difficulty of complying with each recommendation, the preferred method of instruction, and the specific content desired in educational instruction.
