The anthelmintic efficacy of albendazole was assessed using faecal egg count reduction test in all the four farms. It was found that the efficacy of albendazole was 52% in Karnataka Veterinary Animal and Fisheries Sciences University (KVAFSU) Sheep Farm, 77% in Sheep Breeding and Training Centre (SBTC) Dhanagur 47% in Livestock Research and Information Centre (LRIC), Nagamangala, and 70% in SBTC Kudapura indicating the emergence of albendazole resistance in strongyle worms.
