A field experiment was conducted during 2018–19 and 2019–20 at Agriculture Research Farm, Hisar, Haryana, to find out the influence of seed priming on productivity and agro-meteorological indices (thermal, heliothermal and photothermal-use efficiencies) of chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.). The experiment, comprising treatments, viz. seed priming (no seed priming and hydro-seed priming) and fertility levels [recommended dose of fertilizers (RDF), Rhizobium + (PSB), 90% RDF + Rhizobium + PSB, 80% RDF + Rhizobium + PSB and 70% RDF + Rhizobium + PSB), was conducted in factorial randomized block design with 3 replications. The results revealed that, during the first year of study, seed yield and agro-meteorological indices were not affected significantly by seed-priming treatment; however during the second year, significantly higher seed yield and agro-meteorological indices were recorded under hydro seed priming treatment than no seed priming. Among the fertility levels, significantly higher seed yield was obtained with the application of recommended dose of fertilizer than the other treatments except 90% RDF + Rhizobium + PSB. Similarly, significantly higher values of agro-meteorological indices were recorded with the application of recommended dose of fertilizers; however, it did not differ significantly with the treatment 90% recommended dose of fertilizer + Rhizobium + PSB.
