The purpose of this study was to reveal the average effect size of correlation coefficients between elementary school teachers’ burnout and its antecedent variables. To achieve the purpose of this study, literature was collected based on the PRISMA flow chart. 27 papers (15 dissertations and 12 journal papers) were selected and used for analysis. The selected literature was analyzed using meta-analysis research method, and homogeneity test, publication bias test, and effect size analysis was performed using CMA(Comprehensive meta analysis) 3.0. Effect size was classified into high effect size, medium effect size and low effect size by applying Cohen (1988) criteria. The result of this study was as follows. First, elementary teachers' burnout and sub-factors of job stress, students behavior showed positive significant static mean effects while sub-factors of social support, teacher efficacy and its sub-factors, self-oriented perfectionism showed negative significant mean effect size. Second, The average effect size of elementary teachers’ burnout sub-factors and antecedent variables are differed by each sub-factors. Emotional exhaustion, job stress and its sub-factors, multidimensional perfectionism showed positive significant static average effect size while sub-factors of ego resilience, negative mood control expectations, social support and its sub-factors, teacher efficacy and its sub-factor showed negative significant average effect size. Depersonalization, job stress and its sub-factors showed positive significant static average effect size while sub-factors of ego resilience, social support and its sub-factors, teacher efficacy and its sub-factor showed negative significant average effect size. Reduced personal accomplishment and job stress and its sub-factors showed positive significant static average effects while sub-factors of ego resilience, social support and its sub-factors showed negative significant average effect size. Finally, the conclusions of this study and the limitations and suggestions for subsequent research, practical application were presented.
