Estudio de los mixomicetos que fructifican sobre Opuntza fzcusindica l. en el S.E. de España peninsular | Study al myxomycetes that grow on Opuntiaficus-indica l., in southeast Spain

Fifteen species of Myxomycetes that grow on Opuntia ficus-indica, ín South-East Spain are cited. One of them (Stemonitis virginiensis) in this substrate is collected only in moist-chamber. According to the abundante and frecuency with which the other fourteen species are registered, three groups of species are distinguished: five «characteristic» species, three «frequent» species and six «occasional» species. Badhamia gracilis is the most common one. When cultures in moist chambers were prepared sporocarps of Badhamia gracilis, Stemonitis virginiensis and Perichaena minor developed. Three species considered as «characteristic»: Badhamia gracilis, Physarum compressum and P. stramir:ipes have been cultivated in vitro. Three species widely distributed in the area studied, but that have never been collected on O. ficus-indica, were used to compare with the ones isolated in the Opuntia. Three media of culture: CM, CM/2 and carrot-agar have been used and also a new medium, prickly-agar, has been pul to test.

Quince especies de Mixomicetos fructifican sobre Opuntia ficus-indica, en el S.E. de España. Una de el.las sólo se ha encontrado, sobre chumbera, en cámara húmeda (Stemonitis virginiensis). Las otras catorce, atendiendo a la abundancia y frecuencia con que son registradas, se han dividido en tres grupos: cinco características. tres frecuentes y seis ocasionales. Badhamia gracilís es la más abundante. Se realizan cultivos en cámara húmeda que dan como resultado la formación de esporocarpos de: Badhamia gracilis, Physarum straminipes, Perichaena minor y Stemonitis virginiensis. Se cultivan «in vitro» tres de las especies consideradas como «características»: Badhamia gracilís, Physarum compressum y P. straminipes. Se utilizan otras tres especies, ampliamente distribuidas en la zona de estudio, y que nunca han sido recogidas sobre chumbera, como patrón de comparación. Se han utilizado tres medios de cultivo: CM, CM/2 y agar-zanahoria. Se pone a prueba un nuevo medio de cultivo: agar-chumbera.
