The landslide continuous monitoring becomes increasingly important, for scientific purposes and also for providing tools for risk mitigation and raising awareness on the issue. The landslide case study presented is located in the very proximity of a residential area in Suceava and exhibits continuous and rapid evolution of the land masses. The monitoring was performed using aerial orthophotos, GPS receiver and total station, on a nine years period (2008-2017). The results of the measurements were also compared to the situation recorded in the topographical plans drafted in 1978. The data processing included aerial mapping, Digital Terrain Model construction and computation of land displacement volumes. The extension of the land slide on the previously undisturbed land was continuous throughout the entire period, with a rotation of the landslide mass. The resulted topography of the landslide includes areas with marshes and stagnant water, which decrease the stability of landslide mass. The high slope measured in the lower part of the landslide led to further displacement in the area that is the nearest to the houses. The entire landslides mass is formed by pits and mounds that appear stable on a visual analysis, but have progressed towards the head of the landslide. The combined monitoring methods showed encouraging results, showing that the repeated survey of a landslide could provide feedback on the efficiency of any mitigation measure applied.
