Animal behaviour was analysed in a system’s assessment on a farm with an outside climate kennel house with a partially slatted floor, with an outside climate house with a littered dung floor and a with a conventionally insulated house. No basic differences were observed. The effects of outside and house climate, animal weight and functional areas were clearly recognisable. A good aeration of the kennel in the summer is the key to success. Compared to the conventional insulated house, the pigs had similar behavioural patterns.
