Purpose of this study was to develop the main components of a model of an adaptive information system for predicting crop productivity. Methods. To conduct research on the establishment of the basic structural elements of an adaptive information model for predicting the productivity of basic crops used the method of constructing dynamic models. Results. A detailed analysis of conceptual approaches to the construction of mathematical agricultural models is carried out and the main advantages and disadvantages of modern analogues are established. It is determined that the adaptive information model is based solely on the needs of the plant and actually on the need to provide these needs with available resources in order to obtain consistently high yields with high quality indicators. The hardware and software complex must have a feedback relationship between its basic structural elements, because it significantly improves the accuracy of predicting plant productivity. Data based on the operation of certain mechanisms or indicators of weather conditions and their forecasts are used for decision making, however, if they are substantially changed, decisions about individual technology elements are reviewed. The software should be related to the economic part and should take into account market conditions and forecast data when making recommendations. In the case of low purchase prices for products, we recommend that certain agrotechnical operations (say vegetation feeding) be applied or not, in the case of significant change in growing conditions - when the application of these agro-measures will be ineffective due to the negative effects of drought, etc. Conclusions. Quantitative and qualitative indicators of seeds are important economic and valuable features. The lack of pubescence on plants is unique. Methods. Field, special, laboratory and mathematical-statistical. Results. The minimum fat content of 20.88% was observed in the seeds of the non-pubescent variety ‘Kobra’, 23.73% in the line No 305, and 25.02% in the line No 22. The varieties ‘Diamant’ and ‘Antratsyt’ had a high fat content – 24.08–25.83%. The protein content in the green mass of promising lines was very low – up to 16%. The fat content was in the range of 2.1–5.3% with the maximum value in the lines No 3 and No 7 – 4.67–5.26%. The protein content in ‘Anakonda’ seeds and No 1 and No 9 lines was 36–37%, in standard varieties – at the level of 29.5–35.63%. A comparison of new non-pubescent lines with standard varieties and the most productive varieties ‘Diamant’ and ‘Adamos’, which are included in the Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine and meet the requirements for efficient use in fodder production. Conclusions. Lack of pubescence in soybean plants is an extremely rare and atypical phenomenon. There are no such varieties in the state register of plant varieties of Ukraine. More than 50 non-pubescent lines exceed the indicators of economic suitability of national standards and modern varieties. Lines No 4, No 5, No 7, No 8, which had more than 15% protein in the green mass, should be involved in the selection process to create fodder varieties. The ‘Anakonda’ line has a nutritional value with a minimum content of linolenic acid in the oil (6.08%). Increased oleic acid content was observed in varieties ‘Adamos’ (35.01%), ‘Diamant’ (33.53%), ‘Ametyst’ (31.39%).

Високим умістом жиру характеризувалися сорти ‘Алмаз’ і ‘Антрацит’ – 24,08 і 25,83%. Уміст білка в зеленій масі перспективних ліній був дуже низьким – до 16%. Уміст жиру був у межах від 2,1 до 5,3% з максимальними значеннями в ліній № 3 і № 7 – 4,67 і 5,26% відповідно. Уміст білка в насінні ‘Анаконда’ та ліній № 1 і № 9 був на рівні 36–37%, у сортів-стандартів – 29,57–35,63%. Порівняно нові лінії без опушення із сортами-стандартами та найурожайнішими сортами ‘Алмаз’ і ‘Адамос’, які занесені до Державного реєстру сортів рослин України та відповідають вимогам ефективного використання в кормовиробництві.Висновки. Відсутність опушення в рослин сої – надзвичайно рідкісне й нетипове явище. У Держреєстрі такі сорти відсутні. Понад 50 неопушених ліній культури перевищують показники господарської придатності національних стандартів і сучасних сортів. У процесі створення нових сортів з підвищеним умістом жиру в насінні доцільно використовувати неопушені лінії № 305 (23,73%) і № 22 (25,02%). Для створення кормових сортів у селекційний процес слід залучати лінії № 4, № 5, № 7, № 8, які мали в зеленій масі понад 15% протеїну. Високою харчовою цінністю характеризується лінія ‘Анаконда’ з мінімальним умістом в олії ліноленової кислоти (6,08%). Підвищений уміст олеїнової кислоти відзначено в сортів ‘Адамос’ (35,01%), ‘Алмаз’ (33,53%), ‘Аметист’ (31,39%).

Purpose. To determine the effectiveness of using contrasting sowing dates after different predecessors to assess the genotypes of bread winter wheat in terms of yield and stability. Methods. Field, laboratory, mathematical statistics. Results. A different, but reliable level of influence on the yield of bread winter wheat genotypes of such factors as conditions of the year of cultivation (66.2%), predecessors (12.5%), sowing date (6.1%) and genotype (1.7% ) was revealed. Significant differences were noted in the response of the studied genotypes to the sowing date after different predecessors. Relatively less influence of the predecessors on the yield of the varieties ‘Estafeta Myronivska’ and ‘Vezha Myronivska’ was revealed, more – for the varieties ‘MIP Darunok’, ‘MIP Kniazhna’ and ‘MIP Vyshyvanka’. The sowing dates had less influence on the yield of the varieties ‘MIP Fortuna’, ‘MIP Vyshyvanka’ and ‘Trudivnytsia Myronivska’. A general tendency for decrease in the average annual yield was established in the experiment with a shift in the sowing dates from September 26 to October 16. However, for the number of genotypes after certain predecessors, the optimal sowing date was the 5th of October: after the predecessor, green-manure fallow – for varieties ‘Trudivnytsia myronivska’, ‘MIP Assol’ and ‘MIP Dniprianka’, after mustard – ‘Vezha Myronivska’, after sunflower – ‘MIP Fortuna’, after corn – ‘MIP Fortuna’ and ‘Podolianka’. In terms of sowing dates, the least variation in yield was found after the predecessors green manure, mustard and corn varieties ‘MIP Vyshyvanka’, ‘Balada Myronivska’, ‘MIP Kniazhna’, ‘Estafeta Myronivska’. Using the GGE biplot, it was found that close to the ‘ideal environment’ for the realization of the yield level of most genotypes was the second sowing date after greenmanure fallow predecessor. For different sowing dates and predecessors, on average for three years, the optimal combination of the level of yield and stability was noted for the varieties ‘Trudivnytsia Myronivska’, ‘MIP Vidznaka’, ‘MIP Assol’, ‘Estafeta Myronivska’, ‘MIP Valensiia’. Conclusions. Thus, the use of different so wing dates after various predecessors is an effective approach to organization of genotype-environmental tests. It makes it possible to identify the genotypes which are specifically adapted to certain conditions (predecessors and sowing dates) and genotypes with a relatively high level of stability when sowing after various predecessors and on different dates. This approach can be used both at the final stage of breeding to differentiate breeding lines for yield and stability, and in the development of basic elements of technology for growing newly created varieties.

Установлено різний, але достовірний рівень впливу на врожайність генотипів пшениці м’якої озимої таких чинників, як умови року вирощування (66,2%), попередники (12,5%), строки сівби (6,1%) та генотип (1,7%). Відзначено достовірні відмітності в реакції досліджених генотипів на строки сівби після різних попередників. Виявлено відносно менший вплив попередників на врожайність сортів ‘Естафета миронівська’ та ‘Вежа миронівська’, більший – ‘МІП Дарунок’, ‘МІП Княжна’ та ‘МІП Вишиванка’. Строки сівби менше впливали на врожайність сортів ‘МІП Фортуна’, ‘МІП Вишиванка’ та ‘Трудівниця миронівська’, значно – сорту ‘МІП Дарунок’. Установлено загальну тенденцію зменшення середньої врожайності в досліді зі зміщенням строку сівби від 26 вересня до 16 жовтня. Однак, для низки генотипів після певних попередників оптимальним був строк сівби 5 жовтня: після попередника сидеральний пар – для сортів ‘Трудівниця миронівська’, ‘МІП Ассоль’ та ‘МІП Дніпрянка’, після гірчиці – ‘Вежа миронівська’, після соняшнику – ‘МІП Фортуна’, після кукурудзи – ‘МІП Фортуна’ та ‘Подолянка’. У розрізі строків сівби встановлено найменше варіювання врожайності після попередників сидеральний пар, гірчиця та кукурудза сортів ‘МІП Вишиванка’, ‘Балада миронівська’, ‘МІП Княжна’, ‘Естафета миронівська’. З використанням GGE biplot виявлено, що наближеним до «ідеального середовища» для реалізації рівня врожайності більшості генотипів був другий строк сівби після попередника сидеральний пар. За різними строками сівби й попередниками в середньому за три роки найоптимальніше поєднання рівня врожайності і стабільності відзначено для сортів ‘Трудівниця миронівська’, ‘МІП Відзнака’, ‘МІП Ассоль’, ‘Естафета миронівська’, ‘МІП Валенсія’.Висновки. Використання різних строків сівби після різних попередників є ефективним підходом організації генотип-середовищних випробувань. Він дає змогу ідентифікувати як специфічно адаптовані до певних умов (попередників та строків сівби) генотипи, так і генотипи з відносно вищим рівнем стабільності за сівби після різних попередників та в різні строки. Такий підхід може бути використаний як на завершальному етапі селекції для диференціювання селекційних ліній за врожайністю та стабільністю, так і під час розроблення базових елементів технології вирощування новостворених сортів.

Purpose. To determine the effectiveness of using contrasting sowing dates after different predecessors to assess the genotypes of bread winter wheat in terms of yield and stability. Methods. Field, laboratory, mathematical statistics. Results. A different, but reliable level of influence on the yield of bread winter wheat genotypes of such factors as conditions of the year of cultivation (66.2%), predecessors (12.5%), sowing date (6.1%) and genotype (1.7%) was revealed. Significant differences were noted in the response of the studied genotypes to the sowing date after different predecessors. Relatively less influence of the predecessors on the yield of the varieties ‘Estafeta Myronivska’ and ‘Vezha Myronivska’ was revealed, more – for the varieties ‘MIP Darunok’, ‘MIP Kniazhna’ and ‘MIP Vyshyvanka’. The sowing dates had less influence on the yield of the varieties ‘MIP Fortuna’, ‘MIP Vyshyvanka’ and ‘Trudivnytsia Myronivska’. A general tendency for decrease in the average annual yield was established in the experiment with a shift in the sowing dates from September 26 to October 16. However, for the number of genotypes after certain predecessors, the optimal sowing date was the 5th of October: after the predecessor, green-manure fallow – for varieties ‘Trudivnytsia myronivska’, ‘MIP Assol’ and ‘MIP Dniprianka’, after mustard – ‘Vezha Myronivska’, after sunflower – ‘MIP Fortuna’, after corn – ‘MIP Fortuna’ and ‘Podolianka’. In terms of sowing dates, the least variation in yield was found after the predecessors green manure, mustard and corn varieties ‘MIP Vyshyvanka’, ‘Balada Myronivska’, ‘MIP Kniazhna’, ‘Estafeta Myronivska’. Using the GGE biplot, it was found that close to the ‘ideal environment’ for the realization of the yield level of most genotypes was the second sowing date after greenmanure fallow predecessor. For different sowing dates and predecessors, on average for three years, the optimal combination of the level of yield and stability was noted for the varieties ‘Trudivnytsia Myronivska’, ‘MIP Vidznaka’, ‘MIP Assol’, ‘Estafeta Myronivska’, ‘MIP Valensiia’. Conclusions. Thus, the use of different so wing dates after various predecessors is an effective approach to organization of genotype-environmental tests. It makes it possible to identify the genotypes which are specifically adapted to certain conditions (predecessors and sowing dates) and genotypes with a relatively high level of stability when sowing after various predecessors and on different dates. This approach can be used both at the final stage of breeding to differentiate breeding lines for yield and stability, and in the development of basic elements of technology for growing newly created varieties.

The maximum value of the net productivity of photosynthesis – 6.78 g/m2 per day, was obtained from the FAO 420 line at a density of 70 thousand plant/ha, in the FAO 350 line was less by 4.3% with a maximum at a density of 80 thousand. plants/ha. For the FAO 290 line, the optimal plant density was 90,000 plants/ha. Methods. The studies were carried out in the field crop rotation of the Research Center “Podillia” of the State Agrarian and Engi­neering University in Podilia (SAEU) in 2015–2020. The soil cover of the experimental field is represented mainly by low-humus, weakly leached soils. Experiment setting, material evaluation, analysis of plants, yield and grain quality were carried out in accordance with the generally accepted methods of state variety testing. An assessment of the Tartary buckwheat variety ‘Kalyna’ was carried out in comparison with the common buckwheat variety ‘Victoriia’. Results. The growing season duration of Tartary buckwheat variety ‘Kalyna’ was 87 days (38 days vegetative and 49 days gene­rative). In the studied variety, a larger number of the 1st order branches up to 5.5 pcs was observed. The number of leaves on the plant was 22–28 pcs./plants. In the studied variety, more than 50% of the grains were located on the main stem and the first order branches, while in common buckwheat this indicator was only 30%. Productivity was 2,28 t/ha, the number of grains in inflorescences was 4,4 grains, in common buckwheat – 0,72 t/ha, and 2.2 grains/inflorescence, respectively. The thousand kernel weight in Tartary buckwheat variety ‘Kalyna’ is 10.2 g less than in common buckwheat variety ‘Victoriia’ and is 17.4 g, with hulls – 19.5%, which is 3.2% less then in common buckwheat variety.Assessment of Tartary buckwheat variety ‘Kalyna’ for resistance to the effects of bio- and abiotic factors indicates that it was at the level of common buckwheat variety ‘Victoriia’.In terms of resistance to abiotic factors, ‘Kalyna’ variety is characterized by high resistance to spontaneous fallof grain (5 scores) and has simultaneous grain ripening (5 scores). Conclusions.The morphological and economic-biological indicators of Tartary buckwheat variety ‘Kalyna’ are significantly higher than the common buckwheat varie­ty ‘Victoriia’. It is recommended to grow Tartary buckwheat variety ‘Kalyna’ as a valuable cereal crop in the Western Forest-Steppe zone.

Сорт гречки татарської ‘Калина’ оцінювали порівняно із сортом гречки їстівної ‘Вікторія’.Результати. Тривалість вегетаційного періоду гречки татарської сорту ‘Калина’ становила 87 діб (вегетативний період – 38 діб, генеративний – 49 діб). У досліджуваного сорту спостерігали більшу кількість гілок 1-го порядку (до 5,5 шт.) та листків на рослині (22–28 шт.). Понад 50% зерен розміщено на головному стеблі й гілках першого порядку, тоді як у гречки їстівної – лише 30%. Урожайність сорту ‘Калина’ становить 2,28 т/га, озерненість суцвіть – 4,4 зерен, що перевищує показники гречки їстівної на 0,72 т/га і 2,2 зерен/суцвіття відповідно. Маса 1000 зерен у сорту гречки татарської ‘Калина’ на 10,2 г менше сорту гречки їстівної ‘Вікторія’ і становить 17,4 г, плівчастість – 19,5%, що менше на 3,2%. Оцінка сорту гречки татарської ‘Калина’ на стійкість до впливу біо- та абіотичних чинників свідчить про те, що вона була на рівні сорту гречки їстівної ‘Вікторія’. За стійкістю до абіотичних чинників сорт ‘Калина’ характеризується вищою стійкістю до осипання плодів (5 балів) і має високу дружність достигання плодів (5 балів).Висновки. Морфологічні та господарсько-біологічні показники сорту гречки татарської ‘Калина’ суттєво вищі сорту гречки їстівної ‘Вікторія’. В умовах Лісостепу Західного рекомендується вирощувати сорт гречки татарської ‘Калина’ як цінну круп’яну культуру.

In the case of the developed me­thod, correlations were established between the content of carotenoids and the index b* of flour (r = 0.41 / ≤ 0.05) and pasta (r = 0.60 / p ≤ 0.001) and allowed to select the best in flour color selection lines 10-56, 10-65, 14-153, sample T. durum var. falcatomelanopus, in pasta color – lines 10-56, 10-65, 11-29, 12-3. Conclusions. The developed method provides high accuracy and can be used to evaluate the color of pasta and wheat flour, simplifies the evaluation of test samples, standardizes the parameters of agricultural products and avoids subjective judgment. The established weak correlation between the carotenoid content and the b* value of flour indicates the effect on the color of flour not only orange but also yellow and red pigments, and the ave­rage correlation between the carotenoid content and the b* value of pasta indicates the influence of the products of polyphenols oxidation reactions of wheat grain. The best in color flour and pasta lines were selected for breeding work to increase the content of carotenoid pigments in grain.

Матеріалом для досліджень слугувало зерно сортів та селекційних ліній видів пшениці Triticum durum, T. dicoccum, T. timopheevii селекції Інституту рослинництва ім. В. Я. Юр’єва та зразки Національного центру генетичних ресурсів рослин України врожаю 2018–2020 рр. Наважки борошна та шматочки тіста сканували за допомогою EPSON Scanner 010 F. Колір оцінювали з використанням програми Adobe PhotoShop®. Рівень каротиноїдів визначали спектрофотометричним методом.Результати. Візуальні оцінки кольору борошна та макаронів, виставлені різними дослідниками, істотно різняться (до 2–3 балів за 9-баловою шкалою). Водночас використання розробленого способу експрес-оцінки кольору зразків борошна й макаронів у програмі Adobe PhotoShop® із системою оцінювання кольору L*a*b*, що застосовується в сучасних рефлектометрах, дає змогу отримувати дані у вигляді числового значення й забезпечує високу точність. У разі застосування розробленого способу, установлено кореляційні зв’язки між умістом каротиноїдів та показником b* борошна (r = 0,41 / ≤ 0,05) і макаронів (r = 0,60 / р ≤ 0,001) і дало змогу виділити кращі за кольором борошна селекційні лінії 10-56, 10-65, 14-153, зразок T. durum var. falcatomelanopus, за кольором макаронів – лінії 10-56, 10-65, 11-29, 12-3.Висновки. Розроблений спосіб забезпечує високу точність та може використовуватись для оцінювання кольору макаронів і борошна пшениці, дає змогу спрос­тити оцінку досліджуваних зразків, стандартизувати параметри сільськогосподарської продукції та уникнути суб’єктивного судження. Установлений слабкий кореляційний зв’язок між умістом каротиноїдів та показником b* борошна свідчить про вплив на колір борошна не тільки помаранчевих, а й жовтих та червоних пігментів, а середній кореляційний зв’язок між умістом каротиноїдів та показником b* макаронів вказує на вплив продуктів реакцій окислення поліфенолів зерна пшениці. Виділено кращі за кольором борошна та макаронів лінії для селекційної роботи щодо підвищення вмісту каротиноїдних пігментів у зерні.

Purpose. To determine the efficiency of growing soybean varieties ‘Ustia’, ‘Cordoba’, ‘Estafeta’ depending on the influence of microfertilizers and growth regulators. Methods. Field, laboratory. Results. The article presents the results of studying the efficiency of growing different varieties of soybeans. It was found that in the cultivar ‘Ustia’ the best values of assimilation of photosynthetically active radiation were obtained for the applications of Yara Vita Mono Molitrak in the budding phase (0.25 l/ha) with growth regulator Radostym, and Yara Vita Mono Molitrak in the budding phase (0.25 l/ha) + in the flowering phase (0.25 l/ha) with two studied growth regulators. Similar patterns of the utilization rate of photosynthetic radiation were obtained for the ‘Cordoba’ and ‘Estafeta’ varieties. According to the indicators of the energy balance, the complex use of micronutrient fertilizers and growth regulators in any case pays off with an increase in the yield, which means it is energetically expedient. The maximum coefficients of energy efficiency in the ‘Ustia’, ‘Cordoba’ and ‘Estafeta’ varieties were obtained with the introduction of micronutrient fertilizers Yara Vita Mono Molitrak in the budding phase (0.25 l/ha) + in the flowering phase (0.25 l/ha) and growth regulators Biosyl and Radostym. However, the use of growth regulators separately does not always provide an economic return on investment. In particular, in the variant without Yara Vita Mono Molitrak microfertilizer, the ‘Cordoba’ variety received 28 873 UAH/ha of net profit, while the introduction of growth regulators did not pay off, since there was no significant increase in the yield, and with the use of growth regulators Biosyl and Radostym net profit was within 28824–29179 UAH/ha. In general, the use of micronutrient fertilizer Yara Vita Mono Molitrak with growth regulators Radostim and Biosyl ensu­red guaranteed yield increase. Conclusions. When gro­wing ‘Ustia’, ‘Cordoba’ and ‘Estafeta’ varieties from an energy point of view, it is better to use Yara Vita Mono Molitrak microfertilizer in the budding phase (0.25 l/ha) with the growth regulator Radostym. Визначити ефективність вирощування сортів сої ‘Устя’, ‘Кордоба’, ‘Естафета’ залежно від впливу мікродобрив та регуляторів росту. Методи. Польові, лабораторні.Результати. У статті наведено результати вивчення ефективності вирощування різних сортів сої. Установлено, що в сорту ‘Устя’ кращі значення засвоєння фотосинтетично активної радіації отримано для варіантів застосування Yara Vita Моно Молітрак у фазі бутонізації (0,25 л/га) з регулятором росту Радостим, та Yara Vita Моно Молітрак у фазі бутонізації (0,25 л/га) + у фазі цвітіння (0,25 л/га) з обома досліджуваними регуляторами росту. Аналогічні закономірності коефіцієнту використання фотосинтетичної радіації були отримані й для сортів ‘Кордоба’ та ‘Естафета’. Згідно з показниками енергетичного балансу, комплексне застосування мікродобрив та регуляторів росту в будь-якому разі окупається приростом урожаю, а отже є енергетично доцільним. Максимальні коефіцієнти енергетичної ефективності в сортів ‘Устя’, ‘Кордоба’ та ‘Естафета’ отримано за внесення мікродобрива Yara Vita Моно Молітрак у фазі бутонізації (0,25 л/га) + у фазі цвітіння (0,25 л/га) та регуляторів росту: Біосил та Радостим. А от застосування регуляторів росту окремо не завжди дає змогу отримати економічну окупність. Зокрема, у варіанті без мікродобрива Yara Vita Моно Молітрак у сорту ‘Кордоба’ отримано 28873 грн/га чистого прибутку, тоді як внесення регуляторів росту не окупилось, оскільки не було значного приросту врожаю, а за застосування регуляторів росту Біосил та Радостим чистий прибуток був у межах 28824–29179 грн/га. Загалом застосування мікродобрива Yara Vita Моно Молітрак з регуляторами росту Радостим та Біосил забезпечувало гарантованого приросту врожаю.Висновки. За вирощування сої ‘Устя’, ‘Кордоба’ та ‘Естафета’ з енергетичного пог­ляду ліпше застосовувати мікродобриво Yara Vita Моно Молітрак у фазі бутонізації (0,25 л/га) з регулятором росту Радостим. За таких умов отримано коефіцієнт енергетичної ефективності становив 3,24; 3,41 і 3,45, а прибуток 31503, 34072 і 34649 грн/га відповідно.

Purpose. To reveal features of formation of productivity of modern sugar beet hybrids of domestic selection. Methods. Field, laboratory. Results. Studies show that the lowest yields of sugar beets were obtained in 2016, 2017 and 2019. Moreover, the conditions of the unstable humidification zone of the Right-Bank part of the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine were mainly characterized by unstable precipitation, a decrease in their amount, as well as increased average daily air temperatures. Therefore, the selection of high-yielding hybrids of sugar beets to obtain a high level of productivity is relevant. As evidenced by the data comparing the yield of sugar beet root crops on the test site, they significantly exceeded the average indicators for Kiev region by 10.7–20.0 t/ha, and only in arid 2016 the difference was minimal – 4.6 t/ha. The high stability of the trait “sugar content in root crops” is inherent not only in hybrids with low parameters of its manifestation, but is largely determined by the genetic characteristics of the hybrid. Three clusters were identified based on the reaction of hybrids to growing conditions. The first cluster included triploid hybrids: ‘Zluka’, ‘Oleksandriia, ‘Olzhych’, ‘Kvarta’ and ‘Konstanta’, the second one – the triploid hybrid ‘BTs ChS 57’ and diploid ‘Vesto’, the third cluster - the triploid hybrid ‘Sofiia’ and diploid ‘Ukrainskyi ChS 72’. Conclusions. Proper selection of high-yielding hybrids resistant to adverse growing conditions in the zone of unstable moisture of the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine is extremely important, because the biological characteristics of hybrids affect 45% of the amount of sugar harvest, but the growing season by 33% and the interaction of factors was 17%. It was found that despite the difficult weather conditions, the highest yields were formed by hybrids: ‘Anichka’ – 70.1 t/ha, ‘Ramzes’ – 70.5 t/ha, ‘Romul’ – 73.0 t/ha and ‘BTs ChS 57’ – 73.4 t/ha. But the maximum sugar content in root crops was in hybrids: ‘Ukrainskyi ChS 72’ – 17.3%, ‘Zluka’ – 17.3% and ‘Sofiia’ – 17.7%. Accordingly, the maximum sugar harvest was provided by hybrids: ‘BTs ChS 57’ – 12.1 t/ha and ‘Romul’ – 12.2 t/ha.

Дослідження показують, що найменшу врожайність буряків цукрових було отримано у 2016, 2017 та 2019 роках. Причому умови зони нестійкого зволоження Правобережної част­и­ни Лісостепу України здебільшого характеризувалися нестійким випаданням опадів, зменшенням їхньої кількості, а також підвищеними середньодобовими температурами повітря. А тому добір високопродуктивних гібридів буряків цукрових для отримання високого рівня продуктивності є актуальним. Як свідчать дані порівняння врожайності коренеплодів буряків цукрових в умовах полігону, то вони істотно перевищували середні показники по Київській області на 10,7–20,0 т/га, і лише в посушливому 2016 році різниця була мінімальною – 4,6 т/га. Висока стабільність ознаки «вміст цукру в коренеплодах» притаманна не тільки гібридам із низькими параметрами її прояву, а значною мірою визначається й генетичними особливостями гібрида. За реакцією гібридів на умови вирощування виділено три кластери. До першого з них увійшли триплоїдні гібриди: ‘Злука’, ‘Олександрія’, ‘Ольжич’, ‘Кварта’ та ‘Константа’, до другого – триплоїдний гібрид ‘БЦ ЧС 57’ та диплоїдний ‘Весто’, до третього – триплоїдний гібрид ‘Софія’ та диплоїдний ‘Український ЧС 72’.Висновки. Правильний добір високопродуктивних гібридів, стійких до несприятливих умов вирощування в зоні нестійкого зволоження Лісостепу України, надзвичайно важливий, адже біологічні особливості гібридів на 45% впливають на величину формування збору цукру, а от умови вегетаційного періоду – на 33%, взаємодія цих чинників була на рівні 17%. Попри складні погодні умови, найбільшу врожайність формували гібриди ‘Анічка’ – 70,1 т/га, ‘Рамзес’ – 70,5, ‘Ромул’ – 73,0, ‘БЦ ЧС 57’ – 73,4 т/га. А от максимальний уміст цукру в коренеплодах був у таких гібридів, як ‘Український ЧС 72’ – 17,3%, ‘Злука’ – 17,3, ‘Софія’ – 17,7%. Purpose. To reveal features of formation of productivity of modern sugar beet hybrids of domestic selection. Methods. Field, laboratory. Results. Studies show that the lowest yields of sugar beets were obtained in 2016, 2017 and 2019. Moreover, the conditions of the unstable humidification zone of the Right-Bank part of the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine were mainly characterized by unstable precipitation, a decrease in their amount, as well as increased average daily air temperatures. Therefore, the selection of high-yielding hybrids of sugar beets to obtain a high level of productivity is relevant. As evidenced by the data comparing the yield of sugar beet root crops on the test site, they significantly exceeded the average indicators for Kiev region by 10.7–20.0 t/ha, and only in arid 2016 the difference was minimal – 4.6 t/ha. The high stability of the trait “sugar content in root crops” is inherent not only in hybrids with low parameters of its manifestation, but is largely determined by the genetic characteristics of the hybrid. Three clusters were identified based on the reaction of hybrids to growing conditions. The first cluster included triploid hybrids: ‘Zluka’, ‘Oleksandriia, ‘Olzhych’, ‘Kvarta’ and ‘Konstanta’, the second one – the triploid hybrid ‘BTs ChS 57’ and diploid ‘Vesto’, the third cluster - the triploid hybrid ‘Sofiia’ and diploid ‘Ukrainskyi ChS 72’. Conclusions. Proper selection of high-yielding hybrids resistant to adverse growing conditions in the zone of unstable moisture of the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine is extremely important, because the biological characteristics of hybrids affect 45% of the amount of sugar harvest, but the growing season by 33% and the interaction of factors was 17%. It was found that despite the difficult weather conditions, the highest yields were formed by hybrids: ‘Anichka’ – 70.1 t/ha, ‘Ramzes’ – 70.5 t/ha, ‘Romul’ – 73.0 t/ha and ‘BTs ChS 57’ – 73.4 t/ha. But the maximum sugar content in root crops was in hybrids: ‘Ukrainskyi ChS 72’ – 17.3%, ‘Zluka’ – 17.3% and ‘Sofiia’ – 17.7%. Accordingly, the maximum sugar harvest was provided by hybrids: ‘BTs ChS 57’ – 12.1 t/ha and ‘Romul’ – 12.2 t/ha.

The available early maturing lines of the world collection F2, F7, Ер1, Ма21, Ма23, Со125, Со255, См7, PLS61, S72, etc., were distinguished by high cold resistance, good starting plant development, intensive accumulation of dry matter during ripening, but not adapted to the deficiency of moisture in the soil and high summer temperatures. According to the results of the experiment, it was revealed that, in terms of breeding, lines of Lancaster plasma (DK427 and DK633) were the most plastic, due to which a number of new mid-early lines were obtained, for example DK2/427, DK267, DK266/417, DK633/266, DK296, etc., which were included in the registered hybrids. Formation of the genetic base of early maturing maize source material for heterosis breeding and systematization accor­ding to different breeding characteristics provided a balance of samples of alternative components, which will be further used to model heterosis hybrids in the early maturing group. Conclusions. Результатами досліджень з аналізу дивергенції скоростиглого вихідного матеріалу кукурудзи звичайної в умовах Степу України стала розвинута гармонізована робоча колекція селекційних зразків кукурудзи, адаптованих до стресових умов цього регіону. Поступові циклічні вдосконалення ліній дали змогу сформувати ядро генетичного різноманіття скоростиглих зразків ФАО 150–290 південного екотипу, конкурентних у гетерозисній селекції. Складність селекції на скоростиглість в умовах Степу зумовлена відсутністю матеріалу, адаптованого до стресових чинників Півдня України. Наявні ранньостиглі лінії світової колекції F2, F7, Ер1, Ма21, Ма23, Со125, Со255, См7, PLS61, S72 та ін., відрізнялися високою холодостійкістю, добрим стартовим розвитком рослин, інтенсивним накопиченням сухої речовини при достиганні, але зовсім не адаптовані до дефіциту вологи в ґрунті та високих літніх температур повітря. За результатами експерименту виявлено, що в селекційному плані найпластичнішими були лінії плазми Ланкастер (ДК427 та ДК633), завдяки чому отримано цілу низку нових середньоранніх ліній, як-от ДК2/427, ДК267, ДК266/417, ДК633/266, ДК296 та ін., які ввійшли до складу зареєстрованих гібридів. Формування генетичної бази скоростиглого вихідного матеріалу кукурудзи для гетерозисної селекції та систематизація за різними селекційними ознаками забезпечило збалансування зразків альтернативних компонентів, які далі будуть використані для моделювання гетерозисних гібридів у скоростиглій групі.Висновки. Purpose. To determine the patterns of influence of gro­wing factors on the economically valuable characteristics of new soybean varieties. Methods. Field, biochemical methods, analysis of variance. Results. The rates of the influence of the growing zone, the conditions of the growing season of the year and the soybean variety on the yield, weight of 1000 seeds, the content of crude protein and oil, and protein and oil collection were determined. The greatest influence on the yield of the studied varieties had a growing zone – 55%. On average the maximum yield was obtained in Forest-steppe zone 2.48–3.58 t/ha, the lowest – in Steppe zone (1.33–1.89 t/ha) for 2017–2018. In the same period the weight of 1000 seeds on average was 125.1–169.9 g in the Steppe zone, in Forest-Steppe zone it was 130.2–207.8 g and 143.9–188.0 g in Fo­rrest zone. According to the results of analysis of variance, it was determined that the growing zone has the greatest influence on weight of 1000 seeds – 31%, variety – 21% and conditions of the growing season of the year – 13%. The main characteristics of soybean quality are the content of crude protein and oil in seeds. The highest level of crude protein was observed in soybean variety in Forest-Steppe zone – 37.5–44.0%. In Forrest zone, the crude protein content was 34.4–41.7%, in the Steppe zone 35.4–40.1%. The maximum level of this characteristic was observed in variety ‘NS Diyana’ – 44.0% in Forest-Steppe zone, in Forrest zone – in the variety ‘Alexa’ 41.7%, in Steppe zone – in variety ‘NS Diyana’ 40.1%. Thus, the growing zone (31%) and variety (25%) had the greatest influence on the content of crude protein; the interaction of factors (variety and growing zone) affected 17%. The average oil content for 2017‑2018 ranges from 19.8 to 24.2%. High oil content was noted in ‘Adsoy’ variety in Forrest and Forest-Steppe zones, 24.2 and 22.6%, respectively, and ‘Azimut’ – 23.8% in Steppe zone. The results of the analysis of variance showed that the growing zone to a greater extent affected the oil content in soybean seeds by 25%, variety – 21%, and the interaction of factors of the variety and gro­wing zone by 21%. Conclusions. According to the results of multifactor analysis of variance, it was determined that the growing zone had the greatest influence on the studied parameters. It was found that the rate of the influence of gro­wing zone of soybean varieties is 25–55%, depending on the studied characteristic. It was determined that the influence of the variety was 4–25%, the conditions of the growing season affected by 1–26%.

Purpose. To determine the growing factors impact the economically valuable characteristics of new soft winter wheat varieties.Methods. Field, biochemical methods, ANOVA.Results. The influence of the growing zone, the growing season conditions and the genotype of the soft winter wheat varieties on yield, protein and gluten content were determined. The conditions of the growing zone have the greatest influence on studied varieties yield – 73%. On average, for 2020–2021, the maximum yield was obtained in the Forest-Steppe zone – 6.23–8.39 t/ha. In the Forest zone, the yield of studied soft winter wheat varieties was 5.31–7.02 t/ha. For the Steppe zone, the yield was within 5.16–6.63 t/ha. It was determined that varieties which showed low yield in the Forrest zone were characterized by higher yield in the Steppe zone. It was found that the growing zone (49%) and growing season (42%) conditions have the greatest effect on the protein content in grain of studied varieties. It was determined that variety ‘MANDARIN’ was characterized by the highest protein content in all growing zones (14.5–16.4%). In the Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones, high protein content was identified in grain of wheat varieties ‘Tata Mata’ (13.6–14.3%), ‘Eneida’ (13.6–14.3%) and ‘Novator’ (14.2 and 13.2%), in the Forest zone – in grain of varieties ‘Vahoma’ and ‘Eneida’ – 13.4% each. It was found that the growing zone conditions impacted gluten content in grain of studied wheat varieties by 64%, the influence of the growing season conditions was 28%. The effect of variety genotype on protein and gluten content was 5 and 4%, respectively. The grain of soft winter wheat varieties ‘MANDARIN’ and ‘Eneida’ contained the largest amount of gluten in all growing zones (27.7–31.8% and 27.3–30.3%). For the Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones, a high gluten content was found in grains of varieties ‘Illusion’ (28.4 and 30.8%) and ‘Tata Mata’ (27.8 and 29.8%).Conclusions. It was found that growing zone conditions of soft winter wheat varieties (73%) and the interaction of factors zone × year (21%) impacted the yield significantly. The growing zone conditions (49 and 64%), growing season conditions (21 and 28%) and genotype of variety (5 and 4%, respectively) had a significant influence on protein and gluten content. Therefore, a significant influence of growing zone conditions on the productivity indicators of soft winter wheat determines the need to select varieties in order to obtain a high yield, taking into account the soil and climatic zone | Мета. Визначити вплив факторів вирощування на господарсько-цінні характеристики нових сортів пшениці м’якої озимої.Методи. Польовий, біохімічні методи аналізу та дисперсійний аналіз.Результати. Встановлено частки впливу умов зони вирощування, вегетаційного періоду року та генотипу на врожайність, вміст білка і клейковини в зерні сортів пшениці м’якої озимої. На врожайність досліджуваних сортів найбільше вплинули умови зони вирощування (73%). Так, у середньому за 2020–2021 рр. у зоні Лісостепу вона становила 6,23–8,39 т/га (максимальна); Полісся – 5,31–7,02; Степу – 5,16–6,63 т/га. Сорти, які в зоні Полісся показали низьку врожайність, у Степу характеризувалися вищою. Частка впливу умов зони вирощування на вміст білка в зерні досліджуваних сортів становила 49%; умов вегетаційного періоду року – 42%. Найбільший вміст білка у всіх зонах вирощування мав сорт ‘МАНДАРИН’ (14,5–16,4%). У Степу та Лісостепі найбільшу його кількість виявлено в зерні сортів ‘Тата Мата’ (13,6–14,3%), ‘Енеїда’ (13,6–14,3%) та ‘Новатор’ (14,2 і 13,2%), в Поліссі – у ‘Вагома’ та ‘Енеїда’ (по 13,4%). На вміст клейковини в зерні досліджуваних сортів умови зони вирощування впливали на 64%, вегетаційного періоду року – на 28%. Вплив генотипу на вміст білка і клейковини становив 5 і 4% відповідно. У всіх зонах вирощування найбільше клейковини містило зерно сортів ‘МАНДАРИН’ та ‘Енеїда’ (27,7–31,8 і 27,3–30,3%). У Степу та Лісостепі високий вміст клейковини мали сорти ‘Ілюзіон’ (28,4 та 30,8%) і ‘Тата Мата’ (27,8 та 29,8%).Висновки. Встановлено, що на врожайність сортів пшениці м’якої озимої суттєво впливали умови зони вирощування (73%) та взаємодія факторів зона × рік (21%). Частка впливу умов зони вирощування на вміст білка і клейковини становила 49 і 64% (суттєва), умов вегетаційного періоду року – 21 і 28%, а генотипу – 5 і 4% відповідно. Отже, для отримання високого врожаю пшениці м’якої озимої необхідно підбирати сорти, враховуючи істотний вплив умов ґрунтово-кліматичної зони вирощування на показники продуктивності.

An attempt has been made to study the effect of elevated temperature on soil hydrothermal regimes and winter wheat growth under simulated warming in temperature gradient tunnel (TGT). Results showed that bulk density (BDs) of 0, 0.9, and 2.5 °C were significantly different whereas BDs of 2.8 and 3.5 °C were not significantly different. Water filled pore space (WFPS) was maximum at 3.5 °C temperature rise and varied between 43.80 and 98.55%. Soil surface temperature (ST) at different dates of sowing increased with rise in sensor temperature and highest ST was observed at S5 sensors (3.5 °C temperature rise). Temperature and its difference were high for the top soil, and were stable for the deep soil. Photosynthesis rate (μmol CO₂ m⁻² s⁻¹) of wheat was lower at higher temperature in different growth stages of wheat. In wheat, stomatal conductance declined from 0.67 to 0.44 mol m⁻² s⁻¹ with temperature rise. Stomatal conductance decreased with increase in soil temperature and gravimetric soil moisture content (SWC). In TGT, 0 °C temperature rise showed highest root weight density (RWD) (5.95 mg cm⁻³); whereas, 2.8 and 3.5 °C showed lowest RWD (4.90 mg cm⁻³). Harvest index was maximum (0.37) with 0 °C temperature rise, and it decreased with increase in temperature, which indicated that both grain and shoot biomass decreased with increase in temperature. Intensive studies are needed to quantify the soil hydrothermal regimes inside TGT along with the crop growth parameters.

Мета. Вивчення адаптивності сучасних сортів пшениці озимої за екологічними параметрами та встановлення рівня їхньої врожайності залежно від погодних умов року, системи основного удобрення та рівня азотного живлення. Методи. Польовий, статистично-математичний аналіз. Результати. Наведено результати досліджень протягом 2016–2018 рр. показників екологічної пластичності, гомеостатичності та стабільності врожайності сучасних сортів пшениці озимої залежно від доз азотного підживлення на фоні основного внесення N30P30K30 в умовах Східного Лісостепу України. Встановлено специфічну реакцію сортів на дози прикореневого азотного підживлення залежно від розвитку посівів восени, часу відновлення весняної вегетації рослин та погодних умов протягом весняно-літнього періоду. Для досліджуваних сортів визначено показники гомеостатичності (Hom), що дало можливість оцінити сорти за їхньою придатністю для вирощування в умовах регіону. Оцінка агрономічної стабільності досліджуваних сортів пшениці озимої показала високий рівень реалізації потенціалу їхньої врожайності, який на контрольних варіантах (без удобрення) становив 86,7%. У варіантах прикореневого азотного підживлення рослин у фазу весняного кущіння (N20, N40, N60) цей показник змінювався від 85,6 до 87,4%. Висновки. Найвищу врожайність (5,77–7,01 т/га) забезпечив сорт ‘Епоха одеська’ з позитивним генотиповим ефектом (0,16–0,43 т/га). Сорти ‘Епоха одеська’ та ‘Статна’ можна вважати інтенсивними, оскільки за роки досліджень мали вищу врожайність та сильно виражену реакцію на умови вирощування. За роки досліджень на всіх варіантах удобрення сорт ‘Смуглянка’ виявився найціннішим за показниками найменшого коливання врожайності (0,46–0,61 т/га) й коефіцієнта варіації (V = 3,8–5,2%), мав найвищі значення гомеостатичності (Hom = 11,57–15,93) та агрономічної стабільності реалізації потенціалу продуктивності (As = 94,8–96,2%). При цьому застосування різних доз азоту не впливало на прояв стабільності цього сорту. Отже, сорт ‘Смуглянка’ виявився стабільнішим та економічно цінним порівняно з сортами ‘Епоха одеська’ та ‘Статна’, які мали потенційно вищу продуктивність, але з великим її коливанням.

Мета. Визначити вплив факторів вирощування на господарсько-цінні характеристики нових сортів пшениці м’якої озимої. Методи. Польовий, біохімічні методи аналізу та дисперсійний аналіз. Результати. Встановлено частки впливу умов зони вирощування, вегетаційного періоду року та генотипу на врожайність, вміст білка і клейковини в зерні сортів пшениці м’якої озимої. На врожайність досліджуваних сортів найбільше вплинули умови зони вирощування (73%). Так, у середньому за 2020–2021 рр. у зоні Лісостепу вона становила 6,23–8,39 т/га (максимальна); Полісся – 5,31–7,02; Степу – 5,16–6,63 т/га. Сорти, які в зоні Полісся показали низьку врожайність, у Степу характеризувалися вищою. Частка впливу умов зони вирощування на вміст білка в зерні досліджуваних сортів становила 49%; умов вегетаційного періоду року – 42%. Найбільший вміст білка у всіх зонах вирощування мав сорт ‘МАНДАРИН’ (14,5–16,4%). У Степу та Лісостепі найбільшу його кількість виявлено в зерні сортів ‘Тата Мата’ (13,6–14,3%), ‘Енеїда’ (13,6–14,3%) та ‘Новатор’ (14,2 і 13,2%), в Поліссі – у ‘Вагома’ та ‘Енеїда’ (по 13,4%). На вміст клейковини в зерні досліджуваних сортів умови зони вирощування впливали на 64%, вегетаційного періоду року – на 28%. Вплив генотипу на вміст білка і клейковини становив 5 і 4% відповідно. У всіх зонах вирощування найбільше клейковини містило зерно сортів ‘МАНДАРИН’ та ‘Енеїда’ (27,7–31,8 і 27,3–30,3%). У Степу та Лісостепі високий вміст клейковини мали сорти ‘Ілюзіон’ (28,4 та 30,8%) і ‘Тата Мата’ (27,8 та 29,8%). Висновки. Встановлено, що на врожайність сортів пшениці м’якої озимої суттєво впливали умови зони вирощування (73%) та взаємодія факторів зона × рік (21%). Частка впливу умов зони вирощування на вміст білка і клейковини становила 49 і 64% (суттєва), умов вегетаційного періоду року – 21 і 28%, а генотипу – 5 і 4% відповідно. Отже, для отримання високого врожаю пшениці м’якої озимої необхідно підбирати сорти, враховуючи істотний вплив умов ґрунтово-кліматичної зони вирощування на показники продуктивності.

Despite the proximity in zones of adaptation for soft and hard winter wheat (SWW and HWW; Triticum aestivum L.), agronomic evaluations have been confined to market class. Our objectives were to compare SWW and HWW regarding yield and agronomic attributes; genotype, environment, and their interaction; and rates of yield gain. Yield, grain volume weight, heading date, and plant height were collected from 40 adjacent studies evaluating HWW and SWW cultivars in 20 Kansas environments (n = 2,885). Growing season weather partially explained the variability in yield (47–51%), heading date (58–92%), and plant height (67–80%). Yield was greater in SWW than in HWW (3.73 vs. 3.48 Mg ha⁻¹), and a quadratic relationship between the 10th, mean, and 90th percentile yields suggested that SWW has a greater yield potential than HWW, although grain volume weight was greater in HWW (743 vs. 733 kg m⁻³). An asymmetric yield response for both classes was associated with greater phenotypic plasticity, which portrayed a more positive response for SWW. We performed a literature review that suggested a greater genetic gain for SWW than for HWW (33 vs. 17 kg ha⁻¹ yr⁻¹). This gain, however, represented a smaller portion of the regional yield gain (considering both genetic gain and adoption of agronomic practices) of each class (72 vs. 81%). We concluded that SWW outyields HWW due to greater rates of genetic gain, partially due to breeding in higher yield environments, and more positive phenotypic plasticity of yield in high‐yielding environments coupled to yield stability in excessively moist environments.

Kakao merupakan salah satu komoditas andalan di Indonesia. Pengolahan kakao menjadi cokelat merupakan salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan nilai tambah kakao. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh asal biji kakao dan lama conching terhadap karakteristik sensori cokelat hitam. Cokelat dibuat dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan dua faktor yaitu asal biji kakao (100% biji kakao fermentasi Jember, 100% biji kakao fermentasi Sulawesi Tenggara, 50% biji kakao fermentasi Jember + 50% biji kakao nonfermentasi Sulawesi Tenggara, dan 50% biji kakao fermentasi Sulawesi Tenggara + 50% biji kakao nonfermentasi Sulawesi Tenggara) dan lama conching (4, 6, dan 8 jam). Analisa sensori dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan panelis terlatih dengan menggunakan metode discrete time intensity.
