Analyzes of national varietal resources of white cabbage by maturity groups has been conducted. Correlative ties of quantitative characteristics of bearing organs of white cabbage (Brassika oleraceae L. var. capitata (L.) Alba DC.) are explained and grounded scientifically with morphological characteristics indicated.

Directions of use for valuable groat crop, buckwheat, its genesis and history in Ukraine, regions of cultivation, requirements to development of new varieties and economical expediency of their growth are highlighted. Description is also provided for the. Buckwheat verities with Official Description, which are listed in the StateRegister of Varieties Suitable for Dissemi nation in Ukraine in 2010.

In the article are submitted results of the studing the collection of varieties of haricot bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) by the main economic- value haracteristics for conditions for the northern forest-steppe of Ukraine. Are selected and recommended sources of one’s haracteristics and by their complex for next selection.

The article provides summary of Peppermint examination on drought resistant with application of biotechnological breeding methods based on utilization of chemical mutagen PEG-6000 and multiplication by cloning in the culture of tissues and organs in vitro.

The pomological description of studied samples has been given; the chemical composition and relation between biochemical characteristics in fruits of Prunus cerasifera subsp. macrocarpa (Erem. et Garcov.) var. pissardi Bailey has been studied. The obtained data are compared with characteristics, typical for fruits of varieties Prunus cerasifera Ehrh. and forms of Persica vulgaris subsp. atropurpureae (Schneid.) Zajats.

Capitalistic relations were contributing to origination of research breeding during the second half of ХІХ Century. Breeding and seed companied were starting to emerge in Europe in the middle of ХІХ Century. Most famous among them were Velmoren, Depre, Turner (France), Rabbetge and Gizeke (Kleinvantsleben), Dippe und Shriber (Germany) and other.

The article shows development of the variety testing network of the official system of right protection for plant varieties. The article defines on the art-of-the-day level the main problems and relevant solutions, and points out the importance of examination institutions of the official system of right protection for plant varieties for solving the food provision problem of the state.

In the article is substantiated the necessity for governmental investments on the innovation base and analysed the influence on the State system on right protection of plant varieties activity effectiveness.

The drought-resistance of 15 nectarine varieties and forms with a sign of male infertility is studied. The research identified genotypes with varying degrees of drought-resistance. The greatest degree of drought-resistance demonstrated the form 33-3-1, 512-86,41-15-2, and grade Kul'dzhinskiy 4x, Krymtsuht, Elbertaziya.
