Studies on medium heavy layers Astra S kept in cages were conducted. The decrease by 6 percent of laying performance and the increase of feed conversion in layers given the diet with plant concentrate feeds than in those fed the DJ concentrate mixture was stated. The change in a triglyceride concentration and activity of some enzymes in blood of layers with water deprivation was found
