Lactobacillus fermentation - a key biotechnology step for perspective industrial applications

A survey of last 10 years publications on the Lactobacillus fermentation is made. On the basis of 162 papers a statistical analysis of the main trends of Research and Development (RandD) activity in this field has been carried out. It has been shown that the most perspective directions of the studies are the pharmaceutical production and bioreactors development.
