The formation of ethylenethiourea (ETU) - toxic derivative of some dithiocarbamate fungicides during production of homogeneous purea from black currants was studied. The experimental production with 7 samples of raw material with different level of investigated pesticide residues was performed. The results from laboratory experiments as well as from microtechnical scale production indicated that the conversion with significant amount of ETU formation occurs already in the first thermic process and further increase content proceeds in next processes. On the basis of results obtained the quantitative interrelations between fungicide content in raw material samples and ETU concentration in homogeneous black currant purea derived from experimental production were calculated
