To its luck, Hungarian wine industry simultaneously lived through changes in the market, and privatization. Export markets had been mistified for decades due to foreign currency restrictions; most of them having been lost, greater emphasis will be layed on domestic markets /where, on the other hand, foreign competitors may appear as well/. The main objective is not to be one of the numerous countries delivering wine of the few world varieties, but to force the export of Hungarian specialities such as: the botrytized Tokaji Aszu, the Bull Blood from Eger, etc. The share of private small vine-makers producing individual quality is not yet great, but they can contribute to regaining the image of the Hungarian wine, and they are more dynamic then the big wine-making companies
