Amongst the forage crops, alfalfa takes an important place in Turkish Agriculture as having higher digestible protein rate. Although it has been quite ignored but efforts to increase alfalfa production resulted some increase in the last decades. As alfalfa production increases seed production of alfalfa has been decreased in recent years. This review evaluates the tecniques of seed production of alfalfa and evaluates the importance of this crop for animal production
