Epidemic characters of pasteurellosis in poultry in Nongcong dist., Thanhhoa province and the effect treating it with antibiosis

Pasteurellosis in poultry in Nongcong caused mortarlity rates in chicken of 6.51 percent, in wild -goose 6.11 percent, which was higher than in duck, only 5.05 With poultry less than 3 month -old, the mortality ra acconted for 36.44 percent and the total of death was high than other ages. During the summary -autum season (from April to September), the mortality rate (3.74 percent) was higher than winter -spring season (from October March), only 2.33 percent. Pasteuralla multocida strains isolated from death chickens, ducks and wild -goose were sensitive with Clindamycin, Colistin an Neomycin, respectively. Treatment using sensitive antimicrobial agents result in recovery of 73-83 percent.
