Persistence of phenolic compounds of sunflower plant in the soil under succeeding crops

The total phenolic content in the soil increase from 2 to 7 weeks after sowing of succeeding crops. The chromatographic and spectrophotometric studies of methanolic extract of leaves and shoots showed the presence of chlorogenic acid and isochlorogenic acid.
