Suitable thickness of wet paddy for the delay of deterioration by ventilation

Objective of this study is to determine the suitable thickness of wet paddy for the delay of deterioration by ventilation. Chainat 1 paddy variety with 24 percent wb initial moisture content and the ventilation flow rate of 0.5 cubic m/min per cubic metre of paddy are used for the study. The results indicate that in order to maintain paddy quality for at least 7 days, the paddy thickness should not exceed 30 cm.
