[Characteristic of the enterprises of potato-starch branch of the Republic of Belarus]

In Belarus fifteen specialized organizations are engaged in manufacture of potato starch. The established capacities of the enterprises allow to make 15-16 thousand tons starch. At five enterprises the equipment on starch packing in small container is established. One starch factory lets out corn starch. Existing starched factories on a way of allocation of cellular juice, washing and concentration of starched milk are subdivided into 3 types: with use of centrifuges, arc screen, centrifugal screen; with use of hydrocyclonic installation; with use the unit of processing potato. Modified starch are issued in the limited quantity under the order only at one starch factory. For the further development of potatoes-starched branch creation of a steady raw-material base (technical, grades of potatoes with the big maintenance of starch), systematic reconstruction of starched factories, introduction of modem technologies and scientific workings out is necessary
